What is SmartXide dot?

The Deka CO2 Laser is an FDA-approved CO2 fractional system laser with a super-fast scanner which allows a “Dot Resurfacing” of the whole face and neck as well as other areas of the body. It can be tailored to your skin-type without the pain and downtime normally associated with laser skin resurfacing. This is due to micro beams only targeting a proportion of the skins surface at one time, which allows faster healing, causing a tightening of the skin and stimulation of collagen production,thereby, giving a younger and softer looking skin.

What skin conditions does it treat?

Virtually all skin types, light and dark can be treated. Fine lines and wrinkles, melasma, acne scars, sun damage, pigmentation, enlarged pores, scars on the face and body and improved tightness and texture on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands with almost no downtime.

How many treatments will it takes to see the best results?

Depending on the degree of damage to your skin and desired results, most patients require 3 – 5 treatments, spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart.

How much improvement can I expect?

Immediately following the treatment there will be some redness of the skin which will last up to seven days .Recovery is normally 72 hours to one week. Improvement in texture, colour, quality and tightness of the skin can be expected within a fortnight after the treatment, however, more significant results will be seen after completion of the patient’s individual programme.

What does the treatment feel like?

This treatment uses the latest scanner technology and therefore the patient will only require topical anaesthetic cream, if needed, applied before the procedure There is minimal, discomfort during the procedure, a mild pinprick sensation may be felt. if we are working near the eye, appropriate eye protection will be used.
