Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) replenishes thinning or bald areas of your scalp by transferring hair follicles from other areas of your head or body, on an individual basis.
The minutia of this technique makes it well suited for small areas and allows complete flexibility as to the choice of the donor area of hair. The procedure may also be considered in complement to an Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS) procedure.

What causes hair loss?
Heredity is the most common cause of hair loss both for men and women. Other factors such as stress, illness, ageing, hormonal imbalance and nutritional deficiencies may also contribute to or exacerbate the process.
Is FUE painful?
While some discomfort accompanies the injection of local anaesthetic, the procedure itself is painless. Patients typically watch a movie, listen to music or nap during the surgery.
What results can I expect?
Persons with bald areas or receding hairline will find their scalp replenished and their appearance rejuvenated as the replanted hair melds naturally with the original. If not a return to teenage hair, the procedure does allow full recovery of healthy, natural looks. Replanted hair will typically shed within 2-4 weeks. New growth will begin within 3-4 months and length will increase approximately half an inch per month
When can I go back to work and resume physical exercise?
It will usually be possible to go back to work the next day although this may vary with procedures and types of work. Our hair restoration Surgeon will discuss this with you during the Consultation process. You should avoid strenuous physical activity for at least five days after surgery.
Are there any side effects?
The replanted areas will produce small scabs disappearing within 4-10 days. A minority of patients (10%) experience swelling in anesthetised areas which subsides within 3 days. Some months after the procedure, certain patients may also develop skin irritation that may be ended using Betadine medicated shampoo once a day for 4 days.
What is the cost of the treatment?
Treatment price starts from £1500.
