Cellulite is the name given to the pebbly or “cottage cheese” appearance of the skin caused by collections of fat cells surrounded by fibrous bands. Cellulite has many causes including hormones, retention of fluids, poor circulation, and of course diet and weight.
95% of are women have cellulite. They are affected much more then men because of the estrogen effect on their fat metabolism. Men tend to gain fat in the abdomen around their intestines, whereas women tend to gain fat around their hips and thighs. Cellulite may affect women of all ages and genetic backgrounds. It can occur on the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and breasts.

Grade 2: Some firmness. Pinching and rolling reveals lumpiness.
Dimpling visible only on standing position.
Grade 3: Visible dimpling and bulging lying or standing.
Some pain on pinching.
Grade 4: Severe dimpling, “cottage cheese” or lumpy mattress.
Treating Cellulite with MESOTHERAPY
Since 2004 articles have appeared in the medical literature about the effectiveness of injections of natural components into the cellulite to break up the collagen bands and dissolve the fat. The treatment improves circulation of lymphatic and venous drainage that is the major cause of fat deposit and stubborn cellulite
The treatment
A nurse injects the medicine into the selected area ,each treatment takes around half an hour. For better comfort, a local anaesthetic cream will be applied before the injections.
Injection means that greater concentrations of substances reach the selected area faster than oral methods. It also aims to help to maintain firmness and texture. It is recommended that the treatment is repeated every week for the 1st period (period of 4-6 weeks) then once every fortnight for the 2nd period (4-6 weeks) then once every month for the 3rd period (4 to 6 months).
This effect persists as long as the patient is diligent with diet and exercise. Maintenance treatments once or twice a year may be recommended.

Who is suitable for Mesotherapy?
The majority of healthy adults are suited to undergo Mesotherapy. Treatment is preceded by a consultation in which the patient’s medical history is assessed to ensure tolerance of the treatment.
What the treatment consists of? And is it painful?
The treatment consists in an injection of vitamins and minerals that dissolve unwanted layers of fat which are then naturally drained through the lymphatic system. The application can be slightly uncomfortable but the pain is minimised by the use of an anaesthetic in the injected mixture. A local anaesthetic before the treatment will further reduce discomfort.
